Hats and Smiles (and good deeds!)

So, this happened today! Urban Excursions went to the Fubon Asian Market today on our senior outing. As many of you may know, we offer two different kinds of outings and today’s outing was what we call our Scenic Group which specializes in outings for people with Dementia or Alzheimer’s. After lunch, we took a stroll around the market and had some fun trying on different hats, looking at marble sculptures and the interesting items the market has to offer. As we were “loading” back onto our Adventuremobile, the gentleman at the hat store ran out with seven hats for our guests. He pointed to the sky and said his parents were up there and that he wanted to give our guests these hats and that he loved what we were doing.  This simple gesture of kindness gave so much joy to our guests and warmed my heart. Thank you kind man for reminding me that there is still so much good in the world! Cue:Tears of Joy!
